American Literary History (ALH) is seeking a paid undergraduate assistant, 6 – 10 hours/week ($10/hour).
ALH is a scholarly journal edited by Prof. Gordon Hutner and graduate students in the University of Illinois Dept. of English and published by Oxford University Press.
The job includes fact-checking, research, editorial tasks, handling correspondence, keeping records, and other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Prior editing/publications experience OR prior research experience
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with following a style guide
- Intellectual curiosity
- The ability to work independently
- Interest in scholarly publishing and/or the history of American literature
